Educational Strategies

Our courses use a range of educational strategies as follows:

• lectures
• reading
• experiential exercises
• supervised skill practice
• role play
• small and large group discussions
• tutorial presentations (individual and group)
• research and written assignments
• trainer demonstrations and modelling
• video analysis
• clinical supervision of students' work with clients

Assessment

Throughout the courses there is ongoing assessment of each student's understanding of theoretical material and the application of that understanding in the development of psychotherapeutic skills. Ongoing feedback about progress in each course is given through individual interviews during each training year.
